REDI-PLATE™

REDI-PLATE™ is our signature plate coating combined with our process. It is an inorganic zinc weldable preconstruction primer. Suitable for almost all construction processes

Solvent based inorganic zinc pre-construction primers

  • We apply all manufacturers version of this product.
  • Applied at .5 to 1 mill DFT
  • Suitable for all manufacturing processes, including welding, burning, rolling and some forming.
  • Compatible with almost all types of topcoats and emersion applications.

Water based inorganic zinc pre-construction primers

  • We apply all manufacturers version of this product.
  • Outstanding corrosion resistance
  • Applied at .5 to 1 mill DFT
  • Suitable for all manufacturing processes, including welding, burning, rolling and some forming.
  • Compatible with almost all types of topcoats.
  • Not recommended for emersion applications.

Organic preconstruction primers

  • We apply all manufacturers version of this product.
  • Outstanding corrosion resistance
  • Applied at .5 to 1 mill DFT
  • Suitable for all manufacturing processes, including welding, burning, rolling and some forming.
  • Typically used where a light color is required
  • Welding rates and quality are less favorable than inorganic

REDI-PLATE™ ED (extended duration)

  • When a projects duration exceeds 9 months
  • Applied at .9 to 1.25 mill DFT
  • Suitable for all manufacturing processes, including welding, burning, rolling and some forming.
  • Compatible with almost all types of topcoats and emersion applications.
  • Considerations should be given with high speed welding and laser cutting

CPP - Clear Plate Preservative

CPP the abrasive cleaning and coating of plate with special chemicals to inhibit corrosion prior to fabrication, is cost effective and environmentally responsible, and eliminates the use of traditional oil to preserve the abrasive cleaned surface. The CPP treatment provides customers who use welding and finishing  techniques which are impaired any by zinc coating to obtain clean prepared plate which is free from mill scale.

Prior to processing the plate, we enter each plate into a database, recording all plate markings for re-marking on completion of the process. The plate is abrasive blast cleaned to SSPC-SP10/NACE No. 2, Near White Metal specification, through horizontal centrifugal blasting wheels using steel abrasive to provide a controlled profile of 1.5 - 2.5 mils. The steel grit is cleaned and recycled in a closed loop system.  Plates can be cleaned on one side only or both sides as desired.

The fabricator is able to flame, plasma or laser cut, shape and weld the processed plates to classification society standards with demonstrable cost benefits obtained from improved production and minimal surface preparation. The CPP fabricated product can then be prepared and coated with virtually any topcoat system.
